originates from statutory protected forests and areas included in
nature conservation programmes.
Raw Material Stock
We
have a spacious warehousing for storing logs and milled wood. Our
raw material stock comprises of variety of woods that are used for
crafting different products. We ensure proper condition for storage
of woods and take special precaution to avoid molds and fungus so
that quality of wood remains consistent.
Chemical Treatment
The
chemical treatment of the wood provides its protection from moisture
and decaying fungi. Chemical mostly used for treatment of wood is
Chromated copper arsenate (CCA). The chemicals do not penetrate into
the heartwood effectively so a sealer is advisable on cut during the
process of treatment. Chemical treatment is an important process
that extends the life of wood by several years.
Seasoning
Timber
wood contains considerable amount of water or moisture in it that is
responsible for its weight and decay. We are fully equipped with
machines for seasoning of the woods. In the process, the moisture
content of the wood is reduced to around 10 to 12 percent. There are
few dimensional changes in the wood during the process such as
shrinkage and weight loss. Seasoning makes the wood fit for use in
furnitures and other purposes.
Cutting of Wood in Required Sizes
We
have a separate unit for cutting and milling of wood. The logs of
the woods are cut in different shapes and sizes using devices such
as power saw, automatic cutting machines and more. All the safety
rules and personal protective equipment are used in the cutting
stages.
Process/Shaping the Processed Wood
Shaping
of wood is the most important job while making furnitures. The shape
of the wood decides the final design. The process is carried by
expert craftsmen using power tools such as Planes, saws, chisels,
and other edge tools. An immaculate attention is paid to every curve
to achieve excellent finish and impressive design.
Sanding
Sanding
of wood is the start of a beautiful finish. Before applying wood
stain or clears finish a smooth surface is prepared. Sanding creates
tiny, invisible scratches on the surface that enhance the bond of
non-penetrating finishes. The process of sanding can be done either
by hand or by use of sanding machines.
Assembling
Assembling
is basically rearranging different parts of a product as a whole at
the consumers end. The process is done with the help expert
craftsmen who are well versed with technicalities of each joints of
the products.
Polishing
The
products are given final touch and shiny look by polishing. They can
be given a traditional look by using French polish. There are
different types polish that provides different shades such as
bleached white shellac, jet black, deep rich brown, orange and more.
The polish adds a glazing look to the wood and the coating increases
the life of the product.
Inspection
We
ensure that all our products comply with international standard of
quality. All the products are tested in modern laboratory on various
parameters such as physical strength, flame retardaness and more.
Apart from this, we also assure our customers that all our products
are made from quality wood and are termite proof.
Packing
We ensure that all the products are
carefully packed to protect it from damage or scratch during
transportation. All the products are packed using superior quality
of packaging material such as bubble wrap & corrugated boxes.
